en los más distintos ambientes, robots de
voluptuosas caderas, futurismo fantástico y sexual...
Hajime Sorayama inventa un mundo propio a
través del aerógrafo y roza la perfección salvo
por un motivo: no es real.

Déjate llevar a un mundo donde el erotismo
y la fuerza expresiva se dan la mano.

En 1947 nacía Hajime Sorayama en la isla
japonesa de Shikoku. Pocos podían imaginarse
que aquel chiquillo aficionado al dibujo se
convertiría años después en uno de los
ilustradores más aclamados del planeta.
A los 20 años fue admitido en la
Escuela de Arte Chou de Tokio.
Después de dos años aprendiendo las bases
técnicas de la ilustración, comenzó a
trabajar en una agencia de publicidad.
Pero las inquietudes del nipón le llevaron a
buscar algo más que ceras de colores, y
en 1973 inició su aventura en solitario.

En 1978, la creatividad de Sorayama dio sus
primeros frutos en forma de sugerentes androides femeninas, los llamados sexyrobots. Además
de un extenso catálogo de explosivas "chicas
calendario" (pin ups), otra de sus creaciones
originales son las llamadas gynoids, un
término que define a un ciborg con atributos
masculinos que en manos de Sorayama se
convierte en una fusión perfecta de mecánica
y fisonomía femenina. Su estilo podría englobarse
dentro de un hiperrealismo brutal, con un
cuidado extremo por los detalles; Sorayama
disfruta confundiendo al espectador con
dibujos indistinguibles de la realidad.

La originalidad conceptual sumada a su visión
de un mundo futurista dan como resultado un
arte que va más allá del simple erotismo.
